As we all know, this film is a transition of a beautiful short film released last year with the same title and this includes a typical Balaji style of light weighed humor with family sentiments. Balaji captures the natural event in good cinematic way, even though the short film cast suited much better than Sid and Amala, they have done their job to their potential.
Overnarration makes the audience think little bored at times, Balaji should have allowed the film to go on the flow with dialog than concentrating to much on narration. This is completely new to tamil cinema - Sid stated it in an interview, is it so? My honest answer would be NO.
Balaji has a very great potential to deliver a classic like Kadhalikka Neramillai or Michael Madana Kama Rajan, all he needs is to concentrate more on the way the character flows throgh the script than making the character a next door boy.
Scripting contains a lot of scenes from his short films Kaadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi and Mittai Veedu, and he had managed to place it very well into this script.
The director has touched the beautiness of love by showcasing its short spanned fights, the love sequence between Suresh (Amala's father) and his wife is picturized very well. They share a better chemistry on screen than the lead pair.
Ravi Ragavender and his wife showcases a beautiful couple with all care for their son, typical family where the son is everything and the father is capable enough to earn much and make sure the family is completely out of stress.
From my point of view, the characters in this film can be related by the audience from city and not mostly from the village, as the locations, the way the characters look at life and many more things are not universal.
Music helps the movie but not complemeting, Thaman could have given much better songs and back ground score for a beautiful movie like this where there is a lot of scope for humor, sentiments, romance, family sequences and college gala.
Comedy: It is taken care by everyone in this movie, special mention to Sid's friends who did an excellent job, better than their short film appearance and scored very well. Balaji (Jaya TV) fame did his part very well, Sham (SS Vj) also did his work (not best) but better than his appearance in (Vaaranam Aayiram).
Balaji Mohan brilliantly used the day to day joke that happens among the friends gang and made it an entertainer for all group of friends.
On a whole Balaji Mohan had scored his point very well, he is in the lines of Radha Mohan an immediate senior, who gives clean entertainer with smiles and laughs throughout.
