Only one "Vijay padam" has released this Pongal and it is not Nanban! Vettai has a typical "Vijay padam" script: no logic; yet thoroughly enjoyable since it doesn't have Vijay in it :P The charisma of its lead stars and the enjoyable humour made me sit through the movie. Avoid the movie if you don't like Maddy or Jammy. AND DON'T TAKE THE MOVIE SERIOUSLY AT ANY POINT OF TIME, ELSE YOU'D BE KIDDING URSELF. I loved their chemistry throughout, semma screen presence rendu perum! Charukesh Vasudevan namma thala maddy is well and truly back with a bang! MASS-u, HIT-tu! P.S: LINGU SIR, VERY VERY AMATEUR FILM MAKING. THE KID IN ME LOVED THE MOVIE THOUGH :)

I don't care too much about cinematic sensibilities and still maintain this movie was a bore. Flashback-Heroes Introduction song- Fight-Heroines introduction song-Fight-Duet-Fight- Intermission. Repeat the same for 2nd half. Where have we seen that template before? Oh yes, in the last 30+ years of Tamil Cinema.

I'm still a dependant, I don't know whether that makes it worse or better :D Re: Nanban Since, I stayed away from 3Idiots as I don't know the language I quite enjoyed Nanban. Udhav Also have the usernames changed in the new site? I distinctly remember using "Cinephile" as my handle for C&B!

vettai is harmless fun. it doesn't make you think, thats about it. if ure looking for a feel-good night to relax ur mind, vettai pretty much does the trick. :) u have to look at these films the way you look at wilbur, sam anderson or vijay films. only an idiot will take them seriously. but on a serious note, vettai's case is bolstered by virtue of strong charismatic performances by its lead stars, unlike the aforementioned flicks. screen presence matters in such movies and arya and maddy do the trick here.

but i prefer someone like lingusamy to ar murugadoss. lingu doesn't try to act like an all-knowing saint. he knows his limitations and doesn't try too hard to be something he isn't
